Following a series of successful Mekong ICT Camps (the most recent in 2017), Open Development Cambodia (ODC) brings you a fantastic opportunity with the Cambodia ICT Camp 2018, to be held 17–21 December in Siem Reap province. The main themes of this five-day event are: cyber security, open sources, social innovation and open data for sustainable development goals.
ODC especially encourages participants from independent media, civil society organizations, community groups, local government, the private sector, universities (staff and students) and startups in Cambodia to be on board. Together, participants can learn how to securely adapt technologies to tackle social and environmental issues in their communities.
The ICT Camps consist of hands-on workshops, hackathons and development of prototypes, short lectures and spontaneous activities. They bring together technical experts, practitioners and people in policy-making roles. This workshop format – together with the networking possibilities – provides a unique opportunity for in-depth learning and understanding of the concepts and their applications in real life.
We invite you to follow the event through the camp website and social platform. We appreciate your interest as we believe the event will benefit people with diverse backgrounds. Please visit our website and Facebook page to learn more about the Cambodia ICT Camp 2018, and to know more about its content and the activities that will be organized.
